Intercambio invites you to make a difference

Intercambio is an exchange, volunteers exchange their work for the rewards they receive in learning from their Mayan hosts. We will learn from direct experience by immersing ourselves in a culture quite different from our own.

We will be sleeping in in the homes of our Mayan hosts and by immersing ourselves in Mayan culture, we will gain first-hand experience of daily life in a developing nation. This experience will likely have profound effects on how we see the world and ourselves.

Not only will we learn from our hosts, but we will also explore the historically rich Yucatan peninsula. This including visits to ancient Mayan ruins as well as colonial cities and towns.
